The unexpected eruption of the Taal volcano early this year (January 12, 2020) left thousands of Filipino families seeking for shelter and food. With the mandatory evacuation due to ash fall and a possible big eruption, a lot of the residents evacuated their homes far away from the where the volcano is. 

Despite the calamity, Yokohama Tire Sales Philippines Inc., together with Yokohama Tire Philippines, conducted a donation drive to help the evacuees of Batangas. With generous donations from Yokohama and its employees, the group were able to produce at least 100 bags of goods filled with canned goods, rice, health and sanitary kits as well as clothes. The donations were all distributed to one of the evacuation sites in Barangay San Antonio, San Pascual, Batangas.
