  • Is there such a thing as break-in for tires?

This week's tire safety tip: Is there such a thing as break-in for tires?

    Answer: Absolutely!

So what to expect during break-in? During break-in period, the tire will not be performing at it's optimal condition. Much as athletes need stretching and warm up for the main event, this is also the case for tires. Come to think of it, new vehicles require a break-in period also.

For the first 100 km, re-check your tire's pressure. And for the first 500 km, no drag racing and drifting yet, ok? After 500 km, just re inflate the tire to the recommended air pressure and it will be performing as promised on the brochure. Keep safe!
