  • What is the yellow mark on the tire's sidewall?

This week's tire tip: What is the yellow mark on the tire's sidewall?

The yellow mark can be found on most new tires. This indicates the lightest point of the tire. The tire valve, which in turn is the heaviest part of the wheel assembly, should be aligned with this mark to serve as a counterweight for the tire.

Keep this in mind the next time you change your tire. It might just save you a few pesos on wheel weights since not all tire technicians know or practice this.
